There are certain things I cannot, and will not, change.
If I did, I wouldn’t be happily doing what I do now.
However, the new year typically brings about a fervor for change. This desire to become someone different is strange since many would agree that people typically resist change. We like consistency. In fact, we like consistency so much that many of us fail to form these new habits we wish to implement, such as consistently working out or trying a new activity.
I don’t think of myself as someone who follows the norm, but I also recognize my lack of consistency in maintaining this blog. I realized that I failed to write blurbs about what interest me. What was previously presented in this space were things that I thought would grab people’s attention.
So, I have a couple of New Year’s resolutions for 2017 (and beyond). The first is to read more. The second is to write more. And to expand on this second one, I intend to write about what I see, hear, learn, and thus wish to share.
My only promise is that I will be as frank, readable, and enthusiastic as possible.
